Look, look!

Looking out the side door of the house in sugar grove - the boys are in the barn. It looks very very far away.

All stocked up -  I went to the Dekalb Farmers Market again today, which is more like a produce junction than a farmer’s market. Stuff is imported from all over the world, then sold at deep discounts by immigrant employees. Strange business model, but their selection is awesome. There’s a hell of a crowd to fight on a Sunday afternoon, though, so I’m glad I got everything I need for the week and even happier that it all fit into my tiny fridge.

This is Mr. Pez. This is also what he thinks of me.

Today, on my first day at the CDC, I was sent home sick. I’m not sure if they thought I was dying or if they just got tired of my sniffling and hacking, but my boss told me to get out of there and get myself to urgent care. So I did. When the CDC say stay home, you probably ought to. I came home with a diagnosis of allergies (despite this persisting through three states and climates) and all of this stuff. I don’t know what I could be allergic to, except maybe myself. Any ideas?

Watch out, Atlanta

Jay left me here in Decatur, GA yesterday so that I could settle in at my new place. I’ll be here for six weeks working at the CDC on a little epidemiology project. I plan to post photo and stories, just for a distraction from the work. After all, the internet is my only friend in Atlanta (so far).
